Chillar Party

Chillar Party is about a gang of young kids living in Chandan Nagar colony. Their rambunctiousness is matched by their love for each other and the community. They have only two worries in their lives – the local dog that uses their cricket ground as a toilet, and the oversized boys from the colony next door who they lose to in every cricket game.

Thankfully, they soon learn that it is not all about them and join hands with Fatka, a car cleaner who bunks in an abandoned car with his dog Bhidu. The new addition quickly becomes a part of their chillar party and together, they fight a battle against a mean politician to save Fatka’s dog.

This film is a delightful watch with its adorable cast and endearing script. It teaches us to go beyond reason and emotions and fight the big bad world.

Bhoothnath Returns

Taking his first attempt at writing and directing, Nitesh Tiwari's Bhoothnath Returns is a sequel to 2008's Bhoothnath. While it borrows much from Rajkumar Hirani's aesthetic Indian audiences have grown to love over the past decade, Tiwari's vision is a lot more authentic and unflinching than the 3 Idiots director's rose-tinted, escapist vision.

The story begins with a 60-year old ghost called Bhoothnath (Amitabh Bachchan) discomforted in the dead world for his inability to scare a little kid six years back. He is up for a task which is even more disgusting than his previous one.

He fails to succeed in his task but wins over a lively kid Akhrot (Partho Bhalerao) who neither fears him nor any locale there.

Their friendship grows stronger and within a blink of an eye they are into a ghost-flushing business from under-constructed buildings with the assistance of Bhootnath. Then it catches the attention of local politician Jamez Partho (Boman Irani) who gives them a bigger assignment which they fail to comply with. He threatens the little kid to do the job or else face consequences.

Dangal

Dangal is a powerful film that addresses social issues. It challenges gender stereotypes and societal norms by highlighting the importance of breaking away from them.

The movie is based on the life of Indian wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters Geeta (Zaira Wasim) and Babita (Fatima Sana Shaikh). It’s a story about overcoming adversity and becoming world class.

It also questions the patriarchal system of India, which makes this film an important watch at this time. Its message is one that should be shared with every citizen of India - that women should not be afraid to take up the domain of men.

There are a few flaws in the film but it’s definitely worth seeing. The music is excellent and there are plenty of action sequences that will keep you hooked.
