On the 10th of August 2019, a veterinary physiotherapist married an instructor. They held their ceremony in Warsash, Southampton, then a reception, that is next door to a functional farm near Winchester within an idyllic, riverside setting.
"Having worked inside a bridal boutique for a few years, I was clear about the dress I wanted. I'd seen it on Instagram, and discovered the designer after which tracked on the UK stockist before we had even got engaged! My veil would be a bespoke veil inside a nude tone with lace and embellished edging."
Laura's bridal bouquet would be a magnificent pastel-toned affair through the talented, full of sweetly scented Old English roses and sweet peas, delphiniums, dahlias, cafe latte roses, hydrangea blooms, achillea, astrantia, Japanese anemones, wax flowers, and jasmine, accented with dried flowers, grasses, honesty, garden herbs and a lot of greenery.
"We met at university in Aberystwyth in Wales whenever we were both people on the swimming and water polo team. We were friends throughout university and just started becoming romantic after we'd graduated." Go
"We did many years long distance before Jason moved right down to Hampshire where both of us lived inside a caravan while my parents extended the household home – discuss a baptism of fire!"
"Jason proposed on the little romantic weekend away using the dogs on the farm on which the TV show The Darling Buds of May was filmed. We’d been for any long, slightly snowy walk and were very chilly and Jason tried insisting that I take a seat on this old tractor within the farmyard for any photo – I kept telling him, 'I can't take a seat on that, it’s failing,' so when I turned around, he was recorded on one knee! It was this type of lovely and incredibly 'me' method of asking – and that we were spoilt having a 'perfect' champagne afternoon tea within the barns."
Laura's bridesmaids looked wonderful in teal bridesmaid dresses, that they wore using their selection of shoes.
Ready and awaiting guests to remain overnight at Laura and Jason's reception venue were pastel-colored bell tents, all decorated with bunting.
Drinks were enjoyed outside, and guests may also help themselves to favors from Laura and Jason, who had grown herbs planted in terracotta pots.
After drinks and canapés, everyone sat right down to an incredible feast, including delicious sharing boards of cheeses and meats.
Live evening entertainment came thanks to, who also played Laura and Jason's first dance song – among their own – Million Lives.
"We heard him perform it in a gig in Winchester and locked eyes with one another during it and knew it was the main one. John's story behind it resonated deeply with both of us. The John Adams Band got the party going, and each guest commented on which great fun these were!"
